Henry Cavill is Marvel's The Sentry in Awesome New Image

There is little doubt that people are still concerned about Henry Cavill not returning as the Man of Steel in more DC Extended Universe films. But is it possible that the Justice League star might trade in his Superman cape to become a completely different flying superhero? A new image depicts Cavill as Marvel comic book hero The Sentry.

The fan art was created by ApexForm and shared on Instagram (via Screenrant). You can check it out below.

First of all, seeing Cavill with blond hair is a little shocking. However, we have seen him with white hair in the trailer for The Witcher so it might still work. After all, The Sentry is practically the Superman of the Marvel Comics Universe, right? (Except the part where he's an alien who could shoot laser beams out of his eyes).

The Sentry was created by Jae Lee, Paul Jenkins, and Rick Veitch back in 2000 and he can pretty much do just about anything that Superman can. Robert 'Bob' Reynolds is just a middle-aged guy who suddenly remembers he was a superhero who has the "power of one million exploding suns." He has super strength, regenerative powers, and yes, he can fly.

For now, we can't be sure that The Sentry will be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or if he will be played by Cavill. Nevertheless, the fan art offers a glimpse of what could happen if the casting actually happens.

Cavill's next project The Witcher is expected to premiere on Netflix later this year.
