Henry Cavill is Down to Add Classic Red Trunks to His Superman Costume

Zack Snyder made some pretty controversial decisions with Superman that didn't sit well with the DC fandom at first but eventually grew accustomed to. One aspect about the character that Snyder drastically altered was his costume, from giving him a new emblem to removing the classic red trunks which has been a part of the character's iconic look since his inception in 1938.

Longtime fans were obviously pressed about it at the beginning but some folks thought it was a breath of fresh air and over the course of his DCEU run, the mighty Kryptonian, not even once has sported the red trunks. However, it turns out that Henry Cavill is actually down to giving the Man of Steel some classic update.

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the British actor said: "It was a bit of a hangover from the strongman of the '20s, or something. And I thought that, actually, it had potential to work. I mean, maybe not exactly those ones," The Witcher star joked. "I really loved my suit, I thought it was pretty cool. However, if it were to happen again, I would definitely be open to the idea of adding the trunks in some way, shape, or form."

Meanwhile, Henry Cavill is set to return as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Season 2.
