Heavenly Delusion is a seinen manga written and illustrated by Masakazu Ishiguro.
It follows two timelines, and the connection between them is initially a mystery.
On one hand, we have a group of children raised by robots in a secluded facility.
The children have never been outside and they are taught that the world away from the school is hell.
Meanwhile, a boy named Maru, who looks just like Tokio, a child from the school, embarks on a quest across the ruins of what used to be Tokyo, to find heaven.
He's accompanied by Kiruko, a young woman who acts as his bodyguard.
But what does heaven mean in this dystopian setting? Is it real, or a delusion?
Heavenly Delusion has been praised for its thought-provoking themes, its exploration of identity, apocalyptic thought, and autonomy.

Is the Heavenly Delusion Manga Finished or Ongoing?
The Heavenly Delusion manga is currently ongoing. The first chapter came out in 2018, and it still has a long way to go.
Given how enigmatic the anime is, we were a bit disappointed to find out, because we'd like to binge it all and see how the story ends.
That being said, it's exciting to have more content to look forward to.

How Many Volumes Does Heavenly Delusion Have?
As of writing, Heavenly Delusion has eight volumes, six of which are already available in English.
There are a few new chapters that haven't been collected in volumes yet, so we expect more soon.
With under 60 chapters, Heavenly Delusion is an easy manga to read if you're wary of works with hundreds of chapters and no ending in sight.
It's too early to make any predictions, but we could see Heavenly Delusion ending at around 150 chapters.

Heavenly Delusion releases a new chapter monthly, normally in the last week of the month, unless there's a hiatus.
