In Heavenly Delusion, a young orphan named Maru is looking for Tokio, who has the same face as him. While Maru tries to adjust to life with Kiruko, Tokio lives blissfully at the Takahara Academy with the other exceptional children. They share the same face, but are Maru and Tokio related?

Where Did Maru Come From?
Maru’s origins are shrouded in mystery.
He came from an orphanage, and he doesn’t have any fond memories of who exactly he was, where he came from, or who his parents were.
He believes that he was an abandoned child left to die in post-apocalyptic Japan, where man-eaters roam free and nothing else.
That changed when he was located by a strange woman, who escorted him to Kiruko before dying.
Since then, Maru has been with Kiruko with one goal in mind: to discover the person who shares his face and unravel the mystery of the Man-Eaters and the supposed existence of Heaven.
Fortunately, even at such a young age, Maru knows how to fight and fend for himself.
What's more surprising is that he can kill the Man-Eaters, something no man has ever done before.
He calls it Maru-Sense, and he does it by entering the monster's body and destroying its core.

Where Did Tokio Come From?
Tokio's origins, like Maru's, are shrouded in mystery.
However, we suspect that her birth had something to do with the Takahara Academy's female founders, who impregnated themselves with the sperm of chosen males.
These founders are staunch feminists who despise men and their desire for power.
However, in order to grow their influence and continue their cause, they must raise children who will carry on their legacy.
One of whom, we believe, is Tokio, an ordinary girl who lives in one of Takahara Academy's facilities with the other oblivious children.
Her only interests were school and her friends, and she led a pretty quiet life on the inside.
But that changed when Tokio developed an affection for her friend Kona.
They understood each other's feelings, which deepened when they learned how to have sexual intercourse.
As a result, Tokio became pregnant and gave birth to a healthy child.
When approached by the director, she went into sudden petrification to protect herself and her baby.
Tokio, whether as a form of defense or not, halted the director from doing heinous experiments on her baby.
The problem is that it's unclear whether Tokyo saved her real baby or the clone.
So far, that has been Tokio's last appearance, and we presume she left with Kona after the horrific earthquake struck the facility.

Are Maru and Tokio Related?
It is unknown whether Maru and Tokio have a connection, yet their fates are forever linked.
Maru must find Tokio in order to solve all of the mysteries, including the calamity, the man-eaters, and the existence of heaven.
The Heavenly Delusion manga is still ongoing, and it hasn't answered our questions, so it's tough to say whether the two are related.
However, as the plot progresses, Maru and Tokio's paths will collide.
Maru and Kiruko have met some of the children who fled the same facility where Tokio used to dwell.
This means they are in the same timeline as Maru and Kiruko and are breathing the same air as we speak.
Theories that Maru and Tokio dwell in different times or universes are proving false.
It will only be a matter of time before Maru finds Tokio, whether she is still alive or not, and if she is still with Kona and her child.
