Tomorrow is the day everyone has been waiting for; the release of Capcom's Resident Evil 2 remake. Built from the ground up with the Resident Evil 7 engine (which will also be used for Devil May Cry 5), this remake promises a brutally good time with third-person shooting and classic survival horror, which is everything fans want from it. Capcom is celebrating the game's release with a launch trailer to get fans hyped.
Using a nice mix of creepy background and the game's cutscenes, fans who are excited to return to Raccoon City are probably even more so now. Simply put, the game looks great and it seems to play well, at least according to various reports and video previews. It seems like the game has already lived up to the hype, though let's hope it appeals to people who don't have these nostalgia goggles.
Players will be controlling Leon and Claire, as they try to make their way through the accursed city whilst also trying to find out how all this happened in the first place. Most of us know who is responsible but let's let the mystery sink in for newcomers.
Capcom is also planning a number of free DLC for the game after it launches, which is always good to hear. There might be paid DLC as well, though nothing related to that has been confirmed.
Resident Evil 2 comes out tomorrow, on January 25, for PS4 and Xbox One.
