HBO's Watchmen continues to be one of the most interesting adaptations ever made, even if the series hasn't come out yet. The fact that it's essentially a direct sequel to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' original graphic novel is shocking enough, so we're all interested to see what Damon Lindelof has in store for these beloved characters, along with the new ones.

No release date has been revealed, even until now, but it looks like that's about to change. Interestingly enough, during an interview that Lindelof had with TV Guide's Fall Preview, it stated that the show will be coming out on October 20. That definitely matches HBO's targeted Fall 2019 release that they keep hyping up and we can assume that this is the date it will premiere, at least until HBO makes a big announcement.

Also, if they do that, it's because this pseudo-leak happened.

October 20 wouldn't be a bad date for the series to premiere and it would give fans a reason to tune in to HBO again, especially now that Game of Thrones isn't a thing. Maybe some people are watching Silicon Valley but the point still stands; viewers will need to something big to pay attention to.

This definitely looks like a solid Watchmen sequel and should interest those that have bought the graphic novel. It will be interesting to see if fans prefer this series or Doomsday Clock but that's a discussion for another day. While I'd rather they not do a Watchmen sequel, it's always cool to see what these creators have in store for fans.

HBO's Watchmen might just debut on October 20.
