HBO's Watchmen is one of the more interesting comic book adaptations coming out, essentially acting as a sequel to the original graphic novel that Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons worked on. Many people have doubts but everyone is hoping for the best when it comes to this show, especially when you consider the huge legacy it's name has in the realm of comic books and graphic novels.
Recently, HBO has decided to share a new Coming Soon trailer, where it shows some small previews of the company's upcoming show. Naturally, Watchmen is one of the shows that was showcased and we got some new footage from the show, though it was quite short. We don't see much but there is a new look at Hooded Justice, who is probably a different person who will be wearing the ma--well, hood.
There's a lot to like from what we've seen in the trailers, from the production design to its intriguing premise. Sequels to Watchmen were considered to be blasphemous for a time, at least until DC decided to make a number of them; from the Before Watchmen comics to the Doomsday Clock series that integrates Watchmen into the DC universe.
Watchmen will be coming out in Fall 2019. Here's hoping it lives up to the graphic novel's legacy.
