A recent rumor suggests that AT&T and WarnerMedia want Ben Affleck to return as the Caped Crusader. The actor is also in talks to finish the script for his original Batman solo movie. Now, a new report reveals that the company wants Jared Leto and Joe Manganiello to be part of the project as well.

The Cultured Nerd claims that their sources confirmed AT&T wants the actors to reprise their roles. Affleck's return is said to be either a miniseries or a DC film to be released on HBO Max as well. The outlet says Warner Bros. is "committed" to Matt Reeves' The Batman trilogy in theaters, with Affleck's project to likely follow the "intended storyline teased by the post-credit scene of Justice League or Zack Snyder's Justice League."

Affleck's original script reportedly featured the Arkham Asylum, Joker, Deathstroke, and more elements from Batman's rogue gallery. The theatrical cut of Justice League saw Lex Luthor recruit Deathstroke, while the Snyder Cut features Slade Wilson busting out of prison. Should they follow Affleck's original script, Leto and Manganiello's involvement is key.

The reports of Affleck's Batman saga to be potentially released follows the official announcement of Zack Snyder's Justice League as well as rumors about Henry Cavill returning as Superman. For now, this Affleck report is considered a rumor as well, so fans should take this with a grain of salt.

Zack Snyder's Justice League arrives on HBO Max in 2021.
