HBO Fights Spoilers By Filming Multiple Endings For Game Of Thrones

Game of Thrones is getting multiple versions of its series finale to help fight spoilers making its way across the internet. A lot of paparazzi follows the fantasy epic's production, and as photos of the cast and crew filming find their way online, fans slowly piece the puzzles together, spoiling episodes of the series.

Now, taking extra precautionary measures, HBO has decided to film a number of versions of Game of Thrones series finale. According to a report by The Morning Call, HBO President Casey Bloys spoke with Bethlehem's Moravian College student and faculty body last week, and during that time, the network head honcho revealed the production's plan to thwart paparazzi looking to spoil the series.

"I know in Game of Thrones, the ending, they're going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really knows what happens. You have to do that on a long show. Because when you're shooting something, people know. So they're going to shoot multiple versions so that there's no real definitive answer until the end."

Filming multiple endings for the series will certainly help HBO fight against spoilers, however paparazzi isn't the group that the network has to worry about. HBO's been having a rough time dealing with hackers this year, and a lot of episodes of Game of Thrones seventh season had been acquired by these hackers and leaked online early. Hopefully HBO will be able to counter spoilers on all fronts to keep the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones spoiler free.

Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres sometime 2018 or 2019.
