Hayden Christensen Rumored to Have a Major Role in Obi-Wan Kenobi for Disney+

Despite originally being criticized for his performance as Anakin Skywalker, Star Wars fans have been craving for an appearance from Hayden Christensen. We all thought he was going to end up having a cameo in The Rise of Skywalker - I mean, look at that title - but it didn't happen. In the end, it looks like he won't be appearing in a Star Wars movie anytime soon but it looks like the actor might end up playing a major role in Obi-Wan Kenobi for Disney+.

According to a rumor from LRM Online, Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin for Obi-Wan Kenobi was supposed to be revealed in this year's Star Wars Day if this report is correct, though that was canceled for COVID-19 reasons. This is obviously Star Wars Day worthy news since we've all been craving to see Christensen as Anakin again.

If you're all wondering why Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker is big news again, it's because Disney had pulled the actor from appearing in a convention about Star Wars, which had many of us thinking he would appear in The Rise of Skywalker. That obviously didn't happen but knowing that Disney went through so much effort to pull him from these events means they must have some kind of plan for him.

How he would appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi has us curious, though most of us are assuming that we'll be seeing Anakin through flashbacks and the cliche haunted vision. We're hoping this will be done well since fans just have such high expectations for this series since we all want to see what Obi-Wan did during this time period.

No release date for Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ has been revealed, with previous reports claiming that they had to restart writing scripts for the show.
