Darth Vader has committed some pretty atrocious deeds during his reign. However, one of the most horrid things he's done arguably took place before he was even given his Sith name.
In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker went on a Jedi onslaught and no one was spared, not even the younglings. The scene sparked controversy at the time of Episode III's release but it was something the character's arc truly needed.
Well, if you'd ask Hayden Christensen, he has no regrets about doing the scene and he's quite happy it made the cut.

Star Wars: Hayden Christensen is Happy George Lucas Did Revenge of the Sith's Younglings Scene
In a new interview with Empire Magazine celebrating 25 years of the prequel trilogy, Christensen credits George Lucas for the creation of that pivotal scene which further solidified Anakin's turn to the dark side. It was a bold and shocking move according to the actor.
He said: "There was a lot of talk about us doing that scene, and I love that George did it. It was a bold move. And it’s shocking. Kids seem to forget about that scene when they meet me! There’s not any fear or intimidation. They’re just excited to meet Anakin."
The actor also believes that the films, despite the initial flak they drew "have held up well over time". Hayden added: "It feels like vindication for the work that we did. Everyone that worked on those movies thought that we were part of something special. We all wanted to do our very best work, and we cared a lot about it. And so to see the response from the fans now, it’s very cool."

Of course, Anakin would later redeem himself in the original trilogy and would even make an appearance as a Force Ghost in the Ahsoka series. While we're glad he eventually found his way back, you can't deny that Vader was a pretty badass villain.
