Hawkeye Has A Major Role To Play In Avengers: Endgame

Marvel fans were pretty concerned when they found out that Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) wouldn't be a part of Avengers: Infinity War last year. Now, it looks like there was a good reason to save Clint for Avengers: Endgame (aside from the fact that Joe and Anthony Russo had to divide the large cast into separate films so that they could give each character proper focus).

After being sidelined in Avengers: Infinity War, Hawkeye is getting a whole lot of attention in the marketing for Endgame. Clint Barton's in almost every poster and every trailer – he's been the talk of the town with his punk hair and his arm tattoo. Not only that, but we can also tell that Hawkeye is going to take on a major role in the second entry in the Russo's two-part Avengers movie.

Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Renner, and the rest of the cast of Endgame have been busy making the rounds promoting their upcoming film (via ComicBook.com), however, while his Marvel co-stars were busy giving out minor details about their role, Renner is being forced to keep mum.

"I feel good," Renner responded when asked what it was like to return and join the Avengers roster during a press conference for Endgame. "I feel rested. Yeah, I'm good. Stretched out, had some coffee, ready to rock."

Producer Trinh Tran also didn't reveal much about Ronin, keeping important details to herself. "

"That's the costume," Tran pointed at the Avengers: Endgame poster beside her. "I'm trying to figure out a way not to spoil it. He has a new costume. Look, it's an exciting direction for him. It's something we haven't ever done before. And, you know, he was missing in action in Infinity War, so, we wanted to do something different, in that sense."

Seeing how silent everyone is about Ronin rouses up the suspicion that Hawkeye's going to play a major role in the film. The only question now is what kind of role that might be.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
