Hawkeye Finale Deleted Post-Credits Scene Revealed

There is little doubt that fans loved the Hawkeye finale but we were also hoping the episode would conclude with a post-credits scene. After all, it would have been nice to see a tease at the show's spin-off next year. So was there a post-credits scene that simply didn't make the cut or was the series meant to end like that? Amazingly, the deleted post-credits scene has been revealed and it almost featured more of that adorable little owl!

In So This is Christmas?, Clint Barton and Kate Bishop attended Eleanor Bishop's holiday party which quickly descends into chaos. At one point, Clint ends up in a tree where he encounters a curious little owl.

The owl later reappears in the fight against the Tracksuit Mafia where Kate shrinks their van by shooting it with a Pym arrow. The bird swoops in, grabs the tiny van in its talons then flies away.

That's the last we see of the owl (and the Tracksuit Mafia) but according to Hawkeye visualization artist Elaina Scott, there was more of the little bird in the post-credits scene.

"The post credits of the finale of Hawkeye was meant to have the owl taking the bros to its nest, kinda sad they cut it. Would have been hilarious!!" Scott tweeted.

It's disappointing that we didn't get to see more of the owl but also a relief that the Tracksuit Mafia didn't suffer such a horrible fate. Hopefully, we'll get to see more of the owl and the bros in the future.

For fans who were wondering about the owl, it is clearly a reference to Rockefeller the saw whet owl who was rescued from the Rockefeller Christmas tree last year. Rocky has since been rehabilitated and released back into the wild.

All episodes of Hawkeye are now streaming on Disney+.
