Episode 5, titled "Ronin" finally revealed the identity of Maya aka Echo's "Uncle" who was first teased in Episode 3. For over two weeks, the fandom has tried to crack the code with regards to the identity of the mysterious individual but the majority of viewers definitely have a hunch. Now, after months of speculation, we can officially confirm that Vincent D'Onofrio's version of Wilson Fist aka Kingpin is in fact part of the MCU.

Turns out, Kingpin is working closely with Kate Bishop's mother Eleanor who was also revealed in the episode to be the person who hired Yelena Belova to kill Clint Barton. D'Onofrio only appeared during the latter part of the episode and while it may have been brief, it was still enough to send MCU fans into overdrive. Check out some of the reactions below:

Hawkeye's latest episode doesn't confirm whether or not Netflix's Marvel shows are canon but Kingpin turning up in the MCU is a step in the right direction. Personally, I'm more than pleased to see D'Onofrio back in the role which in my opinion, he absolutely nailed. Just when you thought Clint's plate is already full with Yelena and the Tracksuit Mafia, there are apparently other problems he has to face. Let's see how it all plays out in the end.

The latest episode of Marvel Studios' Hawkeye is now available for streaming on Disney+.
