Warning: If you haven't seen the latest episode of Hawkeye yet, this article contains major spoilers so read at your own risk!

Marvel Studios' latest Phase Four offering, Hawkeye just dropped its third episode, and boy, there's definitely a lot to unpack as things are getting pretty intense. The said episode is centered on the arrival of Maya Lopez aka Echo who is the mastermind behind the Tracksuit Mafia. Turns out, Echo has a huge score to settle with Ronin who killed her father but the thing is, she has no idea that Clint Barton was the man behind the mask and is only assuming that Kate Bishop is actually the ruthless mercenary.

Episode 3 doesn't skimp on the action and thrill and while Kate Bishop's road to becoming an Avenger is looking pretty great, the episode's biggest moment that will probably have everyone talking is the major tease surrounding Maya's "uncle". In a flashback scene, an imposing figure who's wearing a black suit comes up to Maya. His identity wasn't exposed just yet but a lot of people are convinced that it's none other than Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin.

The story obviously writes itself and longtime followers of the comics are well aware that Echo and Kingpin share quite the history together. Now, Marvel Studios could definitely pull a major swerve in next week's episode but considering all the rumors that have been circulating over the last couple of months, it would be absolutely safe to assume that Wilson Fisk is set for a massive comeback in the Marvel realm.

Does that mean Netflix's Marvel shows are now officially canon? Or are they just going to retcon the characters? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Hawkeye is streaming exclusively on Disney+.
