We already know that the sequel to The Haunting of Hill House will focus on a completely different haunted house with new characters. However, there's still a possibility that one of the stars from the first season could join the cast of The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Carla Gugino recently spoke to The Wrap about her new show Jett but it seems like the actress couldn't get his mind off the highly anticipated Haunting of Hill House sequel. Interestingly, Gugino admitted that she has been in discussion with series creator Mike Flanagan about returning for the second season.

"Well, I can't say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike and I really love collaborating and working together and any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honored to," she said.

Gugino, who also starred in Flanagan's take on the Stephen King novel Gerald's Game, is certainly open to being a part of The Haunting of Bly Manor. However, she was also quick to point out that it's all just talk right now and they still haven't finalized their schedules.

"So we're talking a lot about it and we'll just see if all schedules allow," Gugino stated. She then added that she is "very excited for Season 2 and to see what Mike does."

The second season will adapt Henry James' horror novella The Turn of the Screw, which follows a pair of young orphans who are left in the care of a governess in a country house.

The Haunting of Bly Manor has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, the series is expected to return on Netflix by 2020.
