Has Benedict Cumberbatch Started Shooting for Spider-Man 3?

With the cliff-hanger ending that Spider-Man: Far from Home left us is, a lot of people are wondering what's in store for Spider-Man 3. Filming has apparently begun for the film already, and word has it that Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch has also started work on the movie.

Atlanta Filming (via @MarvelsStory) had said that Cumberbatch is already in Atlanta working on the film, and he had even arrived the day after Holland did. Cumberbatch's personal stylist Donald McInnes (via Heroic Hollywood) had also posted up a photo of his hair and makeup trailer in Atlanta. You can check out the photo here since the account is private.

I think it's worth reminding that none of this information is official yet, but if you put together the clues, Cumberbatch starting work on Spider-Man is very possible.

We don't know what Doctor Strange's role in the movie is yet, but some speculate that Peter will come to him in an attempt to undo the damage that Mysterio has done by revealing Peter's identity. This will resort to Strange opening up the Multiverse, and from that point we can determine that there will be a crossover with other Spider-Man universes.

This is all just speculation for now, and I'm very open to Marvel Studios proving me wrong. What good's a film if everyone can predict what happens from a mile away?

For now, Spider-Man 3 is set for a release on Dec. 17, 2021.
