Harry Potter Will Return to Theaters


Warner Bros. will bring the entire Harry Potter series to IMAX theaters for a week.

The event will start on October 13, and will mark the first time both Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will be digitally re-mastered in IMAX. The screening will be presented in IMAX 2D, and will feature never-before-seen content from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, including special greetings from star Eddie Redmayne and other actors.

Fans who attend the weeklong IMAX event will get an exlusive sneak peek at a never-before-seen footage from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It will also include in-person appearances by actors from the film at a couple of IMAX locations: London and Los Angeles.

Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment and Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp, said this in a statement:

"Harry Potter is one of the most beloved film franchises of all time and is incredibly important to the history of IMAX. Therefore, being able to offer each installment—especially the initial two for the very first time in IMAX—makes this a truly magical event for fans,"
