Harrison Ford Teases That Han Solo is Alive in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Harrison Ford isn't too excited about the upcoming Han Solo origin story, but he couldn't help tease fans about his Star Wars character, saying that Solo might not be dead after all.

At Star Wars Celebration's live, on-stage version of The Star Wars Show, George Lucas and Ford appeared as surprised guest stars following the opening ceremony. When asked if he's enthused about watching the Han Solo standalone film as a fan, he said in the typical blase Ford fashion, "Not really" before saying, "It'll be a little weird."

What followed was weirder: he badly quoted Monty Python, saying "I'm not dead. I'm just resting."

It seems that Ford was trying to reference the scene in Monthy Python and the Holy Grail where a guy tries to hand his not-yet-dead relative off to "the cart." The sick man repeatedly says, "I'm not dead," but he never says anything about resting.

Ford's response could possibly hint that Han Solo is actually alive. It's possible, isn't it? After all, we didn't see his corpse in The Force Awakens. Perhaps there's a plot twist about his fate that would surprise viewers.

Directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to release in theaters on December 15, 2017. The film also features returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. Benicio Del Toro, and Kelly Marie Tran and Laura Dern make their Star Wars debut in this film.
