Harrison Ford Says Indiana Jones 5 Will Resolve Indy’s History

Harrison Ford is returning to the Indiana Jones film franchise to reprise his role as everyone's favorite swashbuckling archaeologist and it looks like we're going to see new developments in Indy's life and relationships.

The Star Wars actor just recently went on an interview with IGN to speak about Indiana Jones 5 and during the discussion with the entertainment news outlet, Ford was asked to share a few details about the upcoming film.

While Ford wasn't able to give away details about the film's plot, he did open up about a few developments in the movie, saying that fans are going to see part of Indy's history finally come to a resolution.

"Well, I'm not going to share the story with you because that doesn't seem like a good idea. But we'll see new developments in his life, his relationship. We'll see part of his history resolved. It's a very good script. I'm looking forward to it," the actor told the publication.

All things considered, it seems like Ford is genuinely eager to pick up Indy's hat and his whip again in Indiana Jones 5.

"It's a very good script. I'm looking forward to it," Ford added when he spoke with IGN.

Of course, Ford has always been in good terms with the Indiana Jones franchise. The actor has always seemed a little bit acerbic to some playing Han Solo for the Star Wars franchise – Ford isn't really fond of the mythology that feeds the fanboys and there have been numerous occasions where the actor has openly hoped that his character would kick the bucket on the big screen.

At least Ford doesn't feel the same way with Indy.

Indiana Jones 5 is set to premiere on July 9, 2021.
