Harley Quinn Movie: Margot Robbie's Suicide Squad Spin-off With Warner Bros. in The Works

David Ayer's Suicide Squad film won't be released in theaters until August 5, but Harley Quinn actress has already landed her own spin-off.

THR confirmed the news that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are considering a spin-off film featuring Robbie's baseball bat-wielding villain, and Robbie herself is producing it.

According to the report, the spin-off film won't focus on Harley Quinn alone, and Robbie would star alongside multiple female DC villains and heroes, but Warner Bros. declined to comment about that, and the rest of the plot and character details are still being kept under wraps. However, THR named a coupel of characters who might show up:

Details are being closely guarded but names such as Batgirl and Birds of Prey have surfaced, although in what capacity, it's not clear.

The report says that Robbie was the one who actually launched the project after working on the Suicide Squad film. She became fascinated by DC Comics' female characters, so she recruited a female writer to help work on the project for Warner Bros.

Robbie stars in Suicide Squad alongside Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jared Leto (The Joker), Will Smith (Deadshot), Jai Courney (Captain Boomerang), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), and Karen Fukuhara (Katana). She will also star opposite Alexander Skarsgard in this summer's Legend of Tarzan.

So are you looking forward to see Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn movie? Who are the other DC characters do you think will appear in the film?
