Harley Quinn and King Shark Team Up in Wicked The Suicide Squad Artwork

James Gunn's soft reboot of The Suicide Squad promises to be a fun riot of a flick following the teasers we saw from last month's ultra-successful DC FanDome and judging by the stuff we saw on the virtual fan experience and the collection of D-list characters Gunn and his team have put together, it's already looking a lot better than what we ended up getting in the original 2016 team-up film.

A fun new artwork puts together two of the film's main characters — Harley Quinn and King Shark, who's set to make his live-action DCEU debut and they look like a true force to be reckoned with! Gunn shared the fantabulous image on his Instagram with the caption: Awesome #TheSuicideSquad #fanart by @mowaywayway that I think captures our vibe quite well." The Guardians of the Galaxy director also expressed his gratitude to the fans for their amazing works of art. Keep 'em coming guys! See Harley and King Shark wreak havoc here:

Okay, so judging by what he wrote in the post, did Gunn just inadvertently tease that Quinn and King Shark will be sharing a lot of precious screen time in the film? That I wouldn't mind seeing! It's also wouldn't be a shocker to me at all considering they have actual chemistry together which is pretty evident in the animated Harley Quinn series. Quinn has been carrying herself quite well even with the "absence" of The Joker and it's fun to see her do things on her own. King Shark's DCEU iteration is also quite intriguing but at the same time shows a lot of promise and I can't wait to see what he brings to the table considering the film's star-studded ensemble. But at the end of the day, it's James Gunn we're talking about here. Pretty convinced at this point that the man knows what he's doing.
