Black Adam Star Dwayne Johnson Welcomes Hawkman Actor Aldis Hodge in DCEU Film


Black Adam has found its Hawkman! Straight Outta Compton star Aldis Hodge has just been cast as the beloved comic book character and Dwayne Johnson didn't waste time in welcoming his new co-star into the DC Extended Universe flick.

Johnson took to his official Instagram account to announce that Hodge has been cast as Hawkman in Black Adam. In addition to that, the Jungle Cruise actor revealed that he had personally called the Hidden Figures star with the good news.

"THIS IS HAWKMAN," Johnson wrote. "A pleasure to welcome @aldis_hodge to BLACK ADAM. HAWKMAN is a critical leading role for our movie, as he is the fiery leader of the JSA (Justice Society of America) and one of the most beloved and legendary characters in the DC UNIVERSE."

The casting of Hawkman is truly important for Black Adam considering that the character is supposed to play a major part in the film. Needless to say, we can't wait to see Hodge in action next year.

Hodge is the third Black Adam cast member to be officially announced. Noah Centineo was previously confirmed to play Atom Smasher in the film.

Black Adam is scheduled for release on December 22, 2021.
