Universal Pictures has released a new clip from Happy Death Day 2U, the upcoming sequel to the 2017 horror film. The new clip teases a shocking twist in the mythology. You can watch the clip below:
As you can see above, Jessica Rothe returns as the lead as Tree Gelbman, and this time she discovers "that dying over and over was surprisingly easier than the dangers that lie ahead." It looks like she will have to die over and over again to not just save herself but also her friends.
The latest clip features Ryan Phan (played by Phil Vhu) being attacked by Babyface. Tree saves him but while the killer is knocked out, they decided to remove the mask. Everyone is shocked after the mask is removed and then it cuts to black but if you look closely, you can see that the killer is Phil Vhu's character so did he just try to kill himself? This is an interesting twist to the story.

Christopher Landon is back as writer and director, and Jason Blum as the producer for the sequel.
Happy Death Day 2U will be released in theaters on February 13.
