Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne Almost Appeared in Avengers: Endgame's Final Battle

The final eight or so minutes of Avengers: Endgame could have easily been called Marvel Fan Service: The Movie and everyone still would have loved it. After some of us thought they were dead forever (okay not really), it was just so nice seeing characters like Black Panther, Falcon, and Spider-Man return to the fray. In fact, everyone who has ever participated in any superhero fights in the MCU ended up appearing here.

However, during a feature of The Guardian, the film's writers revealed that the original Ant-Man and Wasp were set to make appearances as well. That's right, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne were set to appear and be called Avengers, which would have made a lot of old-school fans happy since the two are founding members.

So why were they cut? Simply put, there were already so many characters to juggle during the final fight - plus Howard the Duck for a quick cameo - that fans would have probably forgotten they were there. We also didn't see Ghost appear, with many assuming that her powers are on the flux.

Hopefully, with Marvel's de-aging technology, this isn't the last we've seen of the original Ant-Man and Wasp. In the meantime, fans can rewatch Avengers: Endgame right now or simply wait for the Blu-Ray.
