Han Visits Canto Bight in Cover for Han Solo: Imperial Cadet

Solo: A Star Wars Story may have its own comic version coming out, but there's also going to be a miniseries called Han Solo: Imperial Cadet which will explore Han's days as a scrub for the Empire. Artist David Nakayama shares this cover he worked on for Imperial Cadet #03 and it has Han visiting a familiar location from Canto Bight:

As of now, we still don't have any idea on who the characters will be in this story, but we know that it will have Han front and center trying to fit in with the Imperials. Though I think it was cool that we got a bit of Han working for the Empire in Solo, we never really got a good feel of him being part of that system.

Then again, the main focus of the movie was to watch how Han became a smuggler, not how he was doing under the wing of the Empire.

For now, all we have for Han Solo: Imperial Cadet are teasers. The miniseries is supposed to run for five issues with the first one coming out this November. Issue 2 is set to come out December, with issue 3 slated for a January release.

As a fan of the Solo film, I actually want to see more expansions to Han's story before he started working for the Rebellion. Personally, I'm very interested in seeing more of the ‘scum and villainy' faction of Star Wars as we always get a look at the Rebellion and the Empire. Bring in the bounty hunters and smugglers!

The first issue of Han Solo: Imperial Cadet comes out Nov. 7.
