Han So Hee’s Agency Releases Statement About Actress’ Previous Statement

On Tuesday, Han So Hee’s agency 9Ato Entertainment addressed Han So Hee’s previous interview where she said she did not know about the love scene on My Name until the filming started. Her statement eventually led to people criticizing the production crew for being unreasonable and unprofessional.

In their clarification statement, the agency revealed that the scene was discussed for the first time during the pre-production stages. There were also talks that a bed scene could be recorded to highlight Ji Woo’s other side.

At that time, the script was yet to be complete at that timeThe, so they agreed that they would decide on the scenes during the filming process.

“After discussing that the scene was necessary to show the humane side of Ji Woo and would also explain the amplitude of Ji Woo’s emotions, we proceeded with filming the scene after obtaining consent from both the actors and staff members. The director and writer also discussed and thought a lot about how to express the scene,” part of the statement said, as quoted by AllKpop.

What Han So Hee Exactly Said?

Last month, the actress appeared in a post-launch interview where she talked about a scene with Ahn Bo Hyun’s character on My Name’s last episode.

“At first, of course, I was doubtful if it would be okay. I wondered if it would hinder Jiwoo’s goal of revenge. However, I interpreted it as the first time she accepted human emotions and the only time Jiwoo was a human,” she explained.

Because of her statement, director Kim Jin Min and writer Kim Ba Da found themselves in the middle of hot waters. With Han So Hee’s agency’s clarification, everyone hopes no one will suffer from criticism again.
