Ahead of its much-awaited premiere, Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon’s K-drama Gyeongseong Creature is confirmed to have its season 2.

In a report cited by Star News, the action thriller historical K-drama will start its production in early 2023.


Netflix Confirms Gyeongseong Creature Season 2

With this, Netflix has responded to the reports confirming that Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 is happening.

In a report obtained by Soompi, the streaming giant said that action thriller historical K-drama “is being produced.”

However, regarding the filming schedule “has not yet been decided” the same goes for the cast lineup for the sequel.

With the confirmation of the second season, it only shows that officials and Netflix are confident about the possible response of the public, raising anticipation for Gyeongseong Creature Season 2.


Gyeongseong Creature Cast, Release Date, and Where to Watch

Set in the spring of 1945 also known as Gyeongseong’s darkest era, two individuals came face to face with an unknown creature to survive.

Park Seo Joon took the role of the town’s wealthiest man named, Jang Tae Sang, who only thought of himself amid the chaos. However, this perspective of him changed when he met the mysterious Yun Chae Ok, played by Han So Hee.

As of this writing, the broadcast network is yet to confirm the exact release date of the historical K-drama but the first season of Gyeongsang Creature is slated to debut in 2023.

On the other hand, Gyeongseong Creature is penned by Dr. Romantic series writer Kang Eun Kyung and helmed by Jung Dong Yoon of Hot Stove League and It’s Okay Not To Be Okay, the upcoming series will be broadcasted exclusively on Netflix.

Meanwhile, joining Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee in the 16-part episode series are a roster of talented stars including Avengers star Claudia Kim, Wi Ha Joon of Squid Game, and veteran actors Kim Hae Sook and Jo Han Chul.
