What’s the Plot of Gushing Over Magical Girls?
The Gushing Over Magical Girls anime puts a twist on the magical girl anime genre, as it stars a super normal middle school girl who suddenly becomes a sadistic dominatrix, contrary to her dream of transforming into a magical girl!
Hiiragi Utena has always been a fan of Magical Girls Tres Magia, a group of heroines of justice who fight against an evil organization called Enormeeta that wishes to conquer the world.
She loves them for their fabulous, cool, and cute transformations, which almost every girl in the world wants to experience in their life.
One fateful day, Utena meets a mascot-like character named Venalita, who can grant transformation powers to girls who have power residing within them.
Venalita grants Utena this power, and she transforms into that of a leader for the forces of evil! She also obtains a weapon called Full Star Dominazione, which allows her to turn everything into demons.
As a result, Utena became the villain that her idols, the Magical Tres Magia, needed to defeat at all costs.
As much as Utena hates to do evil stuff to the magical girls, her desire to see them tormented always gets the best of her!
Not to mention, Venalita will show footage of her transformation on social media if she doesn’t antagonize the world.
It turns out that Utena’s true nature is that of a sadist, and her overflowing desire to do perverted things to the magical girls makes her even more powerful!
Gushing Over Magical Girls Anime Release Guide: When Is It Coming Out?
The Gushing Over Magical Girls anime will premiere on January 3, 2024, in Japan.
It will be part of the Winter 2024 anime season, and we are expecting that it will run for a single cour. This means that the anime is expected to consist of 12–13 episodes at most.
As announced, the anime will have three different versions: the TV version, which will include censorship of audio and visuals; the gushing version, which includes censorship of some audio and visuals on streaming services; and the uncensored ultra-gushing version on Blu-ray and DVD.
In addition to the release guide for the Gushing Over Magical Girls anime, the official website also announced that the characters of Enormeeta will be performing the ending theme song, Togetoge Sadistic.
