Guillermo del Toro Getting His Own SDCC Exclusive Figure from NECA

NECA has made some very great figures based on horror films, but with the incoming SDCC 2018, they've decided to bring to plastic director and monster enthusiast, Guillermo del Toro.

Check it out:

According to Toy Ark, the figure stands at 8 inches tall and is part of NECA's Mego-inspired toy line. What's cool is, the figure comes with a sketchbook from Pan's Labyrinth and it even opens to reveal some sketches inside. Personally, I would have preferred if it came with Hellboy's Samaritan, but you can probably just import it from an actual Hellboy figure.

It's not likely that this figure will see a wide release, but it does have a production run of 2000 pieces. That's probably enough for fans who actually want a Guillermo del Toro figure. The figure was actually up for pre-order, but you can still get it at SDCC 2018.

Del Toro has made some fantastic movies in his career, but last year finally gave him some official recognition with the release of The Shape of Water. The film nabbed four Oscars including Best Director and Picture of the Year, add to that more wins at the Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards.

Get this figure at SDCC 2018.
