Guardians of The Galaxy’s First Introduction With Thor Detailed By Dave Bautista

There are a lot of reasons for Marvel fans to be excited over Avengers: Infinity War. Not only will the two-part superhero mash-up movie feature an epic showdown between Josh Brolin's Mad Titan Thanos and more than 60 Avengers, it'll also feature interesting interactions between fan favorite heroes like the Marvel Cinematic Universe's current iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Chris Hemsworth's Thor.

Marvel brought with it a new preview for Infinity War at Disney's D23 last weekend and in the trailer fans got to see the Asguardian god of thunder crashing right into the Milano's windshield as the Guardians of the Galaxy fly through some wreckage n space.

It's a very unconventional way of introducing Thor to everyone's favorite group of cosmic thugs-turned-heroes, and Dave Bautista (who plays Drax the Destroyer0) absolutely loves the scene.

Speaking in an interview with Good Morning America (via Comicbook), Bautista describes the introduction to fans:

"What are the chances? Isn't that great? When I first read that I laughed hysterically. When we shot it, it was just so ridiculous."

"We had a lot of fun with that whole scene. It's kind of the first interaction between the Guardians and Thor, obviously. There's just so many jokes to be made there with how handsome and perfect Chris Hemsworth is and how insecure Star-Lord is. A lot of good fun and a lot of good humor."

The thought of having Thor crashing into the Guardians of the Galaxy's windshield is absolutely hilarous and it fights right in with the sensibilities of Thor: Ragnarok's Taika Waititi and Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn. It's also interesting to note that Thor's hair is still pretty short in the scene, indicating that the Marvel superhero bumps right into the Guardians not long after Ragnarok.

Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas May 4, 2018. The untitled Avengers 4 premieres on May 3, 2019.
