While there are lots of speculation going around on the internet about the final GOTG film, aside from Peacemaker's Chukwudi Iwuji's debut in the MCU as The High Evolutionary, another thing that the fans anticipate is Zoe Saldana's Gamora come back.

The last appearance of Gamora was in 2019's Avengers: Endgame, wherein his past self made it to the current timeline and her original version had been killed. Whether Gamora is alive in the present or she is actually dead remains a mystery for GOTG fans.

After James Gunn announced that Zoe Saldana will be back for the final film, fans can't help to wonder what her role in the film is going to be. While all of these remain a mystery and will just be answered when the movie is released, Saldana has hopes for her character in the GOTG3 film.

In an interview with Jake's Takes, Saldana sat down to discuss what she wants to explore for her character, Gamora, in The Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3

“Yeah, and I feel like that taster made me incredibly curious to know what that planet was like, what her species was like... because they were completely wiped out of existence and… because she carries such a such a big weight on, you know, on herself and… to get to know why and where that comes from was really great.”

In Avengers: Infinity War, we saw a glimpse of Gamora's chaotic childhood and how Thanos destroyed her home. We witnessed Gamora's species, and how the mad villain manipulated and transformed her into an assassin.

Now that Gamora is confirmed for The Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3, our hope that the crew is complete in the final film is now granted. On what Gamora's role will be and if it will focus on her origin story, we will unravel next year when the film is released.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled for release on May 23, 2023.
