Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Director Comments on Big Rumor About Drax's Daughter

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a long ways away from ever becoming a thing. James Gunn was originally fired from Marvel Studios, which led to him getting the job to direct The Suicide Squad for DC and Warner Bros before getting rehired by Marvel so that he could start work on Guardians 3. As we agonizingly wait for the next movie in this franchise, Gunn has decided to comment on one of this movie's hottest rumors; Drax's daughter possibly being alive.

In Guardians of the Galaxy, it was assumed that Ronan the Accuser had Drax's family and half of the inhabitants on his planet under Thanos' orders. However, this rumor suggests that Drax's daughter, Kamaria, may have lived and could play a big role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn was asked about it by a fan on his Instagram Q and A so he decided to give a vague "we'll wait and see."

While that reeks of a copout, it would be interesting to see how Drax's daughter survives and if it will affect his current relationship with the Guardians. This is expected to be the big finale for these characters and we can't wait to see where James Gunn and Marvel Studios take them. It's going to be an awesome sendoff unless there are plans to include them in a crossover of course.

No proper release date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has been revealed. Both Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 can now be bought in digital stores.
