Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Adds Crazy Rich Asians Star Nico Santos

MCU fans have been looking forward to seeing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the third solo film featuring the titular intergalactic team and also expected to be the last one in the trilogy. While most of the plot details regarding the upcoming film have been under wraps, more information has started to emerge about the new cast members and it looks like they have recruited another one in its ensemble.

Deadline has reported that Crazy Rich Asians and Superstore star Nico Santos has joined the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. As usual, the details regarding his role are under wraps as of the moment just like most of the new cast members of the film that were reported to have joined.

Santos is joining an ensemble that includes returning cast members such as Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stallone, and Elizabeth Debicki as well as franchise newcomers such as Will Poulter (as Adam Warlock), Chukwudi Iwuji, Daniela Melchior, and Maria Bakalova.

The Filipino-American actor is known for his role as Mateo Liwanag in the hit sitcom Superstore and played the supporting role of Oliver T'sien in Crazy Rich Asians. He also had a voice role in the HBO animated series The Prince. He had roles in other films such as Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, The Clapper, Wish Dragon, and the upcoming The Re-Education of Molly Singer.

It's always exciting whenever there's an MCU project that adds a talented actor to its cast. Santos is certainly a great addition. While we don't know what kind of role he will play in the film, there is a possibility that it will be a comedic one similar to his role in Superstore and Crazy Rich Asians. Either way, it's going to be another showcase of his talent.
