It's no secret that Karen Gillan is great in action films but can you imagine the Guardians of the Galaxy actress in a girl-power movie that also stars Game of Thrones star Lena Headey? That's exactly what we're getting in Gunpowder Milkshake and Gillan has just shared the first images from the upcoming flick.
Gillan took to her official Twitter account to share the first stills from Gunpowder Milkshake. Check it out below.
"First look at my new film Gunpowder Milkshake!! Meet Sam, Scarlett, Emily and some severely badass librarians," Gillan wrote. She also added the hashtag #GunpowderMilkshake and tagged director Navot Papushado in her tweet.
We're loving the fact that Gillan and Headey are going to work together in the movie but the awesome photo of Star Trek: Discovery's Michelle Yeoh, Angela Bassett of Black Panther, and The Haunting of Bly Manor star Carla Gugino certainly stands out. Needless to say, we can't wait to see all of these amazing women in action soon.
Not much is known about Gunpowder Milkshake but the action thriller is expected to follow "three generations of female assassins who, over the course of a single night, fight to stop a cycle of violence." This is a promising idea considering that we love the idea of all these powerful women getting into action.
Gunpowder Milkshake also stars Paul Giamatti. The film has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
