Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Set Photos Show Surprising Connection to Eternals

One of the upcoming MCU projects that are set to be released soon on Disney+ is The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special which will feature the titular team's holiday adventure in the MCU between the events of Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

While the plot details are under wraps, new pieces of evidence have emerged which suggest its connection to a recent MCU film.

A new batch of set photos from The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is currently surfacing online where a poster of the in-universe film Haxan's Haxaner starring Kingo from Eternals can be spotted at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles which is also surrounded by several Christmas ornaments.

You can check the photos below courtesy of Twitter user @PatrickADougall:

In the poster, you can see Kingo wielding a pistol and doing a pose similar to James Bond. This easter egg is in reference to the character's life as a Bollywood actor for the past several decades ever since the Eternals disbanded.

It is unknown though if it is an indication that Kumail Nanjiani himself will make an appearance in the special or it's just simply an easter egg to establish a connection with the MCU.

It makes sense for Kingo to appear in a poster in the background since he is a world-renowned Bollywood star in its universe and it is an acknowledgment of his stature as a public figure. However, it is not clear if it is set in the present day or the 80s as the time period of the special has not been established yet. Nonetheless, it is still interesting to see him pop up in an easter egg as a fun tease for the fans.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper are reprising their roles in the special. James Gunn also serves as both the director and the writer.
