Guardians of the Galaxy Actor Went to WB and Ask Them to Let Him Play A DC Villain


The Guardians of the Galaxy and Army of the Dead actor Dave Bautista is very interested in continuing his plans to dominate on-screen characters. The actor has revealed that he is interested in portraying the classic Batman villain Bane. The actor isn't steering clear of showing his passion for the character.

As Collider has reported, Bautista, who plays Drax in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and Scott Ward in Netflix's Army of the Dead. The actor is so keen on taking on the DC role that he specifically walked right into DC Films' doorstep to present himself for the role.

The actor has been open and vocal on Twitter about his passion for the character for many years. However, since The Dark Knight Rises in 2012, Bane has been on any major DC movie. This didn't stop the actor from trying his luck. While he was discussing his new Netflix film, Army of the Dead during Justice Con, Bautista revealed that he went to DC's offices to let him play the popular Batman antagonist.

The actor stated that he wanted to play the character so badly that he decided to go to Warner Brothers, made separate appointments with Warner Brothers and another with DC. He walked in the door telling them he wanted to play Bane.

He said the reaction was that they were not even casting Bane but he was adamant about playing the role so he told them he doesn't care and that he will play the character.

Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead will be released on Netflix on May 21, 2021.
