The Book of Boba Fett's finale episode pretty much sealed the deal with Grogu's Star Wars fate and it's something a lot of fans have been curious about since the start of The Mandalorian. In Chapter 6 of the hit Disney+ show, the Child was put in an unenviable position of choosing between Din Djarin and the Jedi way. While the said episode left all of us hanging, Chapter 7 finally revealed Baby Yoda's big decision, and ultimately, he chose to be with Mando.

The Book of Boba Fett's finale once again saw just how formidable Mando and Grogu are as a duo, with the Force-wielder even aiding Din during his battle with one of the B'omarr monks. Now that Mando and Grogu have reunited, it begs the question: what does this mean for his future?

You see, many fans were under the impression that Grogu was among the Padawans who were killed by Kylo Ren during the onslaught on Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy but now that we've learned that Grogu didn't stay in the institution and actually survived the Jedi killings, is it an indication that he's still alive in the sequels?

Of course, the MandoVerse is far from over and a lot can still happen especially with Season 3 of The Mandalorian just around the corner. But the idea of Grogu being alive somewhere in the galaxy seems plausible and Lucasfilm would be foolish not to capitalize on his popularity especially given the fact that the sequels failed to hit the mark with fans. The only mystery is, where was he during the entire thing? Hopefully, post-sequel era projects will answer that.

All episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
