Grand Moff Tarkin to Appear in Disney+’s Cassian Andor Series

Lucasfilm had brought Moff Tarkin back to life for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and it was great to see the return of the Imperial who was tugging at Vader's leash. What's great is, Tarkin is going to be making his return for the upcoming Cassian Andor series on Disney+.

According to Kessel Run Transmissions, CG Tarkin will be making his return to the small screen. We don't know exactly the size of his role, but I have a feeling it's going to be a small one, seeing that recreating someone in CGI is a grueling task, especially when you have a budget of a television show. No news yet on whether Guy Henry will be reprising the part as well.

While I personally loved CG Tarkin in the movie, a lot of people have been complaining about how he looks like a video game cinematic. I, on the other hand, would like to cut the VFX guys some slack. I mean, they're trying to create a human face out of nothing; I'm sorry if they didn't successfully deceive you.

That being said though, they could have seriously worked on that younger Leia in the end. I mean, people on the internet have been successfully able to pull it off thanks to DeepFake tech.

While the Andor series is mostly Rebel-centric, I would still love to see some more people on the Imperial side. I'm sure everyone would like to see more of Vader, and maybe we can get some more scoundrels like Boba Fett, Han Solo, or Lando Calrissian.

No release date has been set for Cassian Andor, but the series is expected to come out in 2021. The Mandalorian Season 2 returns to Disney+ this October.
