BBC and Amazon Prime's Good Omens is coming back to the small screen once again. The 2019 series was supposedly going to be a stand-alone show. However, Good Omens Season 2 was green-lighted earlier this year.
Since then, updates have been scarce regarding the limited series. Fortunately, Michael Sheen has dropped some hints about Good Omens Season 2 recently.
For starters, Good Omens is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's and Discworld author Terry Pratchet's 1990 novel of the same name and is a comedic take on the Christian apocalypse. It follows two omnipotent beings: angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and devil Crowley (David Tennant).
The duo, who have grown fond of Earth, were tasked to influence the Antichrist towards good or evil. During the delivery of the Antichrist to Earth, he was misplaced as a baby, and chaos ensued with Sheen and Tennant hoping for Earth's safety.

It seems like only yesterday that we watched the dynamic duo -- Aziraphale and Crowley -- on the small screen. But, in actuality, it has been two years already. Finally, we got some good news about Good Omens Season 2 as Michael Sheen dropped some teasers on Twitter.
The actor uploaded a series of photos on his Twitter, where he is seen dying his hair to Aziraphale's distinctive white hair. He also captioned the image with a haloed emoji. At this point, it's pretty evident that the production of Good Omens Season 2 is nearing or it is already in the making. Whichever it is, we are very excited.
Another photo uploaded by Sheen featured himself looking into the camera while taking a picture of his eyes, forehead, and hair. The image was set in a black and white tone to mask the obvious. It is already confirmed that both Michael Sheen and David Tennant will be reprising their roles in Good Omens Season 2.

It seems hard to imagine what Good Omens Season 2's plotline will be as the first season already covered the entirety of Gaiman and Pratchett's Good Omens.
According to Neil Gaiman, Good Omens Season 2 will be based on the ideas that he and Pratchett had for the novel's sequel. Considered everything else, it also may be a homage to Pratchett, who passed away before Good Omens Season 1 finished filming.
There are theories regarding the plot of Good Omens Season 2. Most fans think it will focus on the banishment of Aziraphale and Crowley from their posts in heaven and hell and how they become more human.
