Good Omens: First Look At Jon Hamm As Archangel Gabriel

This year saw the release of the live-action adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, and now production has started for the adaptation of another Gaiman book, Good Omens. The miniseries has Michael Sheen and David Tennant playing avatars of Good and Evil Aziraphale and Crowley respectively, and now we have a good look at Jon Hamm's Archangel Gabriel.

Check it out:

Good Omens is a miniseries, and will only feature six episodes all-in-all. We don't have that much info yet on the show, but we do know that it releases sometime in 2019, and the genre falls under "comedic apocalyptic."

Here's the short synopsis for the series:

A tale of the bungling of Armageddon features an angel, a demon, an 11-year-old Antichrist and a doom-saying witch.

I'll be honest, I haven't read the book, but the premise does seem like a lot of fun. Seeing that Gaiman is such a master when it comes to fantasy, I bet a lot of people are excited to see the release of Good Omens. Starz did a great job when they adapted American Gods, but we'll have to see if Amazon and BBC can deliver yet another faithful Gaiman adaptation.

No official release date has been announced for Good Omens, but the show is expected to air in 2019.
