Goo Hye Sun will add another flick under her belt after signing with IOK Company.

It has been years since Goo Hye Sun starred in a K-drama as the actress went through issues in her personal life. Although she worked on the film Dark Yellow, the 37-year-old actress has not had any K-dramas since appearing in the 2017 series, You’re Too Much.

After a long wait, she hinted at her comeback following her recent audience award win.

Goo Hye Sun To Become Part of New K-Drama

Goo Hye Sun recently graced the cover and pages of Mac & Gina magazine and had an interview with them. The Boys Over Flowers actress also shared the snaps on her Instagram page.

As quoted by Naver, the actress opened up about her return to a new drama. However, she also clarified that it might take a while before its release.

"I want to remain as an artist who goes her own way to the general public as this year marks my 20th debut anniversary. I'm currently preparing to return with a new drama series, however, it will take time because I want to present an impactful character,” she said.

For what it’s worth, most of Goo Hye Sun’s projects became international hits. From Boys Over Flowers, she went on to star in the flicks like Blood, Angel Eyes, Take Care of Us Captain, and The Musical.

As it would mark her debut anniversary, the actress said she wanted to show that she remains “an artist who walks her own path to the public.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the Dark Yellow director spoke candidly about the overwhelming emotions she felt when she became a scriptwriter and director.

Goo Hye Sun said that she felt her heart pounding so much for the first time in a long time. She was not alone in her journey, though, as fans, co-stars, and friends supported her in her new career.

Although she added new works, she promised her fans to come back as an actress while continuously making films.
