Gong Hyo Jin Reveals Her Current Favorite K-drama

Gong Hyo Jin dishes out her favorites, including the Kdrama that she is currently hooked on.

As the queen of rom-com graced Harper’s BAZAAR’s June issue, the actress also did a sitdown interview for the publication’s YouTube channel.

Titled Totally shocking! Gong Hyo Jin’s Encyclopedia of Random Things, the award-winning star had to answer personal questions–from her nickname, MBTI, to her current favorite series.

Gong Hyo Jin is a Proud Fan of Love ft. Marriage & Divorce

The 42-year-old star shared that people call her Kong, which has become her nickname.

With her MBTI, Gong Hyo Jin revealed that she is an ENFP or someone with Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting personality traits.

During the interview, she said that the result always comes about the same.

Being an ENFP, the actress shared that she is a go with a flow type of person, adding, “I think the biggest detail is that I don’t have a plan. No matter what I do, it’s okay. It’s my style.”

Interestingly, when asked about the type of music she listens to, the When the Camellia Blooms star explained that she prefers listening to songs without lyrics.

She then revealed that she’s addicted to one drama’s OST, which happens to be the TV Chosun’s Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 3, which is also available on Netflix.

These days, I am hooked on a drama’s OST, and I am watching it interestingly, but the song of the drama is stuck in my head. You know how there is always an opening song and ending song in every episode. That incredible song lingers in my ears. Maybe it’s because I saw it yesterday,” she explained.

In addition, she also revealed that the trilogy drama is her current favorite series.

Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) follows the story of three undeniably attractive women who are in their 30s, 40s, and 50s. The series focuses on their marriage, relationships, and family.

The weekend drama, which stars Park Joo Mi, Lee Ga Ryeong, Jeon Soo Kyung, and more, wrapped up its third season last May 1.

Gong Hyo Jin’s New Drama Ask the Stars

As the interview continued, Gong Hyo Jin also spoke about her new drama Ask the Stars, written by Seo Sook Hyang, who also penned Pasta and Jealousy Incarnate.

The actress shared that she used to portray newbie characters in the drama, and for her upcoming series, she will be a boss lady.

“In the meantime, I’ve been playing as newbies, the younger ones in most of my dramas, but this time I’m the boss. It’s a work from the writer of Pasta and Jealousy Incarnate, she said, adding, “but it’s completely different and I’m a space captain this time. The writer lured me in with that.”

Set to air sometime in 2023, Gong Hyo Jin’s new drama depicts the budding romance of an astronaut and a tourist who fell in love at a space station.

The award-winning actress took on the role of Korean-American astronaut Eve Kim.

There, she meets Gong Ryong, played by Lee Min Ho. An OB-GYN who joins the space journey as a tourist.
