God Of War Designer Gives Us A Look At Wolverine’s New Look In The MCU

Now that Disney has completed its acquisition of 20th Century Fox and the company's various film and television assets, fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and all of 21st Century Fox's other mutant characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Some are looking towards the return of fan-favorite adamantium-clawed Wolverine, a character which ended up sacrificing his life in Logan. While we're pretty sure that Hugh Jackman won't be suiting up as James Hawlett anytime soon (time and time again he's turned down Ryan Reynold's offer to team-up with Deadpool in the Merc with a Mouth's many movies), fans are hoping to see the character recast in the MCU.

Now, God of War concept artist Rafa Grasseti gives us his idea of what the popular mutant might look over at Marvel Studios. Foregoing the iconic blue and yellow suit that fans have associated the character with, Grassetti gives Wolverine a pretty Earthy look, using Logan's classic yellow and brown costume from the comics. The idea of Wolvie fighting alongside the Avengers in a future Marvel film might sound exciting, however, Marvel has yet to introduce the mutants to the MCU. Right now, the studio is busy finishing p phase 3 of the franchise. Besides that, Marvel also plans on releasing all of Fox's remaining X-Men movies like X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants so it can reboot the entire X-Men film series.

We'll just have to continue waiting to see the mutants make their way in the MCU.
