Girls' Generation member Taeyeon reflected on her current standing as a senior idol in the K-pop industry.

Debuting with one of the most K-pop groups in history, Taeyeon's empire has continued to grow in the past years. Although there are K-pop groups that have been debuting, the Fine singer remains one of the most beloved idols in the industry.

Girls' Generation Taeyeon Shares What Kind of Senior Artist She Wants To Be

Harper's Bazaar recently tapped Taeyeon, TWICE's Nayeon, and NewJeans' Hyein to become the cover stars of its latest issue. The magazine unveiled the pictorials and interviews on Monday.

During Taeyeon's turn, she took her time to share what kind of senior artist she wants to be with her juniors.

According to the singer, she does not think age matters that much. With that, she aims to become their colleague who is like a friend.

"We're colleagues. Since we're people who do the same kind of work, there's no need for seniors to be particularly difficult to approach and as long as there's respect for one another, I think that's enough," Taeyeon said. "Of course there could be a difference in the inner skills accumulated in one field, but I'm just someone with a bit more experience."

Will Taeyeon Continue Working With SM Entertainment?

As she furthers her career, Taeyeon's fans started thinking about whether she has other plans for the future.

Recently, the I hitmaker shared a cryptic post by iamkimbunny, which shows the text (translated from Korean): "Everything changes. The Mind. Heart. People. Everything that you thought would be forever, eventually changes."

The next day, she posted a screenshot of her listening to Justin Bieber's Changes.

Taeyeon also shared a photo of a scene from The Glory where Park Yeon Jin writes her resignation letter before throwing it at her director. The idol crossed out the character's name and put her name in it.

Fans then speculated that she might have already been preparing to leave SM Entertainment. However, this should be taken with a grain of salt as the idol has not released a definite statement regarding her plans.
