As the SM Entertainment girl group approaches the 15th anniversary of its debut in August, a much-awaited album will be released to commemorate the occasion.
Girls’ Generation To Make Comeback With New Album
The nation’s girl group perhaps teased fans about a special comeback reunion for their 15th anniversary when all eight members appeared on Yoo Quiz On The Block on September 1, 2020.
In particular, the significance of this album is amplified by the fact that it will be the legendary girl group’s first comeback in approximately five years. This follows the release of their sixth full album, Holiday Night, in August 2017.
Aside from the release of the 15th-anniversary album, Girls’ Generation also plans to greet fans in a variety of broadcast and program appearances. Girls’ Generation will also raise the level of anticipation with reality programs.

Girls’ Generation Comeback With Eight Members
What makes this upcoming album even more special is that this will also be the first to feature all eight original members of Girls’ Generation since 2017.
Girls’ Generation-Oh!GG is the second sub-unit of the girl group, which was formed in 2018. Five of the members who signed with SM Entertainment formed the girl group.
Specifically, Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Yoona got together in September 2018 to release the single “Lil’ Touch.”

Girls’ Generation: The Nation’s Girl Group
Making its attention-grabbing debut with the single “Into The New World” in August 2007, Girls’ Generation actively dominated digital charts with hits after hits.
Specifically, the song “Gee,” released in 2009, became Melon’s most popular single of the 2000s and was largely responsible for the group’s meteoric rise to stardom.
The song held the number one spot on KBS’s Music Bank for a record-breaking nine consecutive weeks.
Girls’ Generation’s following tracks, “Genie,” “Oh!,” and “Run Devil Run,” dominated the mid-2009 and start of 2010, contributing to the group’s growing success in Asia.
And these releases awarded the amazing group with a Golden Disc award for Album of the Year in 2019, making them the first and only female act to win the Album Daesang.
Since their debut, it is not a surprise that Girl’s Generation proved to be a legendary girl group capable of an overwhelming status and power, as well as showing a variety of musical colors through unit and solo activities.
