Girls' Frontline Episode 1 Release Date

Girls’ Frontline is an anime based on a mobile game of the same name. It is a mobile strategy role-playing game that can be played via iOS and Android. The game was developed by a China-based studio called MICA Team. The players of the game can control echleons of android characters called T-Dolls. Each T-Doll has a distinct real-world firearm to protect itself.

The series will be produced by Warner Bros Japan and animated by Asahi Production. It will be directed by Shigeru Ueda while Hideyuki Kurata will handle the series composition. Masaki Yamada will design the characters and Takashi Watanabe will compose the music. The series also has a manga adaptation called Girls’ Frontline: The Song of Dolls.

Girls' Frontline Episode 1 Details

The premiere date of the anime is on January 8, 2022. It will be available on AT-X, BS11, and Tokyo MX. Interested viewers who do not have access to these channels can stream the series on Funimation. The streaming site acquired a license over the series to release it outside of Asia.

Originally, the game was set during the time of war. There are tactical dolls or T-Dolls that are created to work instead of humans. Due to the war, the world is no longer inhabitable. Almost all of humankind is dead because of the Collapse Fluid, contamination that was spread during the war.

In 2062, the AI of Sangvis Ferri became rebels to the point that their T-Dolls and other robots would kill their human masters and take over other places. To stop them, a private military company called Griffin & Kryuger hired a team of skilled dolls to eliminate the Sangvis Ferri forces.

In the game, the players will get the role of G&K commander and will lead the AR team that consists of 5 members, namely RO635, M16A1, M4 SOPMOD II, ST AR-15, and M4A1. There will be more characters that will be introduced as the story progressed.

The game alone received a lot of love from gamers around the globe which is why a lot of people are excited that an anime will be made based on it. Will it surpass their expectations? Fans will have to tune in to find out.
