What Is Girlfriend, Girlfriend About?
The romantic-comedy anime follows the life of Naoya who has recently entered a relationship with the ever-so-beautiful Saki.
Despite their intense clashes akin to fire and ice, they are undeniably deep in love.
As their bond strengthens, Naoya pledges to never cheat. But one day, he faces a sudden confession from a charming girl named Nagisa.
She even prepares a thoughtful lunch for him. Unable to dismiss her appeal, he struggles with a strange dilemma.
As a solution, he decides to approach Saki and ask for her consent to date both together.
In Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2, Naoya maintains his connections with both Saki and Nagisa following their hot springs excursion.
Joined by Rika Hoshizaki, who once kissed Naoya, and Shino, who has secret romantic feelings for him, they set off on a summer vacation brimming with romantic escapades, a trip to Okinawa, a camping adventure, a fireworks festival, and more.
The arrival of Rika’s younger sister, Risa, further intensifies the romance between the characters.
How Many Episodes Will Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 Have?
Like its predecessor, Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 is listed to have 12 episodes.
The official website has announced the Blu-ray/DVD box set for Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 along with the episode count for the season.
Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 Blu-ray/DVD box set 1 includes episodes 1 through 6 and it is scheduled to hit the shelves on February 2, 2024.
Meanwhile, Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 Blu-ray/DVD box set 2 will come with the remaining episodes 7 through 12.
The box sets will come with the digipack drawn by character designer Shouko Hagiwara.
The set will also include a special booklet with original manga illustrated by Hiroyuki.

Fans outside of Japan can stream the latest episodes of Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 on Crunchyroll. The streaming giant has also officially announced the English dub of Season 2.
