It's been four months since Gina Carano's newsmaking firing from Disney and Lucasfilm but Star Wars fans the world over are still hopeful that she'll one day return to the franchise. Of course, that doesn't seem to be a possibility right now but several reports have claimed that Carano and Disney are currently in talks for her potential comeback.

Since her ousting from the franchise, Gina has obviously moved forward and returned to her usual social media routine but despite the messy situation, she doesn't seem like a person who holds grudges towards people and it's evidenced by the way that she no longer talks about her controversial firing on her platform.

Speaking of, Carano's latest Twitter post is sparking speculation about her Star Wars future. Taking to the social media site, the former mixed martial arts fighter posted an image of a mysterious robed character in what looks to be a Tatooine-esque location. Interestingly, the said image features three Suns which almost looks like it's trying to depict Star Wars' iconic binary sunset, or in this case "trinary", I guess. Check it out here:

The idea of Carano mending the fences with the House of Mouse seems a little too farfetched but it's worth noting that the company has been able to patch things up with its former employees whom they fired in the past. Assuming that Carano does in fact reprise her role as Cara Dune in The Mandalorian, the timing couldn't have been any better as well since the series is currently experiencing a production delay. That means there's plenty of time for the writers to once again incorporate the character. Well, that is if those rumors are indeed true, of course.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is rumored to premiere in late 2022.
