Gina Carano has responded to Disney's recent move to dismiss the actress' lawsuit against the company over her controversial firing from The Mandalorian.

Last February, the actress sued Disney and Lucasfilm for discrimination and wrongful termination regarding her firing from the Star Wars series and is seeking compensatory damages.

X owner Elon Musk is also backing the actress' lawsuit as part of his promise to shoulder the legal bill of users who claimed that they were discriminated against and fired over their activity on the platform.

According to Deadline, last Tuesday, Disney filed a motion to dismiss Carano's lawsuit over her firing from The Mandalorian.

They argued that the actress lost her job due to her decision "to publicly trivialize the Holocaust by comparing criticism of political conservatives to the annihilation of millions of Jewish people—notably, not ‘thousands’—was the final straw for Disney."

The company's legal team insists that the lawsuit should be tossed out "on the grounds that Disney has a constitutional right not to associate its artistic expression with Carano’s speech, such that the First Amendment provides a complete defense to Carano’s claims."

In her recent post on X, Carano responded to Disney's filing of a motion to dismiss her lawsuit against the company.

She said that Disney's recent move is a sign that "they will fire you if you say anything they disagree with" and argued that the First Amendment does not allow the company to "wantonly discriminate."

"Disney has confirmed what has been known all along, they will fire you if you say anything they disagree with, even if they have to MISREPRESENT, MALIGN, and MISCHARACTERIZE you to do it," the actress wrote.

"They are now on record letting everyone who works for them know that Disney will take any chance they get to control what you say, what you think or they will attempt to destroy your career. Glad we cleared that up."

Carano added, "The First Amendment does not allow Disney to wantonly DISCRIMINATE, which is what they have done in my case and frankly have now admitted they did. If you ever wanted to know what today’s 'Disney values' are, they just told you."
